Meet the Founder/CEO
-Amanda Pagan
My name is Amanda Pagan. I was born in Bronx New York.
My family came to Harrisburg, PA when I was a young girl.
We lived in different parts of the city, also attended and graduated from John Harris High. I was raised by a single mother of 4 with help from my grandmother.
I am a God fearing woman, an author, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. I am married with 7 children- and make it my mission to lead by example to my children.
I have been faced with a lot of adversity in my personal life as well as during my time living in the inner city. In many aspects I can relate and understand my village and their needs. My team and I look forward to building our community up, creating change, empowering, and encouraging those in our community to be the best versions of themselves- especially our youth.
I believe in what God is doing through me and through my events. My hope is to keep inspiring as well as promoting change and unity every day.

Saleena Thompson is a proud Harrisburg native with a profound calling to serve. As the Vice President and Spiritual Advisor of Step Out the Box It Takes a Village, Saleena has dedicated her life to uplifting her hometown and pouring into the lives of others with intentionality, grace, and faith. With a heart for the people- Saleena’s work is fueled by a deep-seated love for God’s people. She believes that true leadership starts with a serving heart and she approaches every community initiative with the goal of providing genuine care. For Saleena, "It Takes a Village" isn't just a motto it is a blueprint for how we must show up for one another to create lasting change. Saleena is a soul believer in the restorative power of loving one another and our neighbors. She strives to be a vessel of peace and encouragement- whether she is offering spiritual guidance or organizing community outreach; her mission remains the same, to serve with a passion that honors God and heals the spirit.
